A few days ago, in the spirit I sensed the enemy throwing fiery darts in great numbers to weaken God's people—causing fear, panic, anxiety, doubt, depression, and discouragement. I sensed chaos in the atmosphere. For many, this came out of nowhere! I have seen many experiencing unexpected warfare and unexpected opposition in these last few days just when victory is right around the corner. The Lord spoke to me saying, "The enemy is trying to paralyze My people."
The enemy is trying to distract, torment, and paralyze those who are about to experience a mighty breakthrough and turnaround—those who are coming out of a long season of transformation, testing, and molding.
"...above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Ephesians 6:16 NKJV
When I heard this, I immediately felt the Lord exposing the lies of the enemy to His people—exposing the father of lies. The enemy brought this intense warfare to blind many people—so the focus could be on the oppression and not on the promises of God. Right now, blindfolds and scales are coming off from the eyes. As you read this, the Lord is removing the blindfold and is allowing you to see the strategies, tactics and plan of the enemy. Shake off the lies of the enemy and take your position.
The Lord says, "Take your position once again!"
"...He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies." John 8:44 NKJV
Note that "lying" is satan's character. It's extremely important to be aware that satan's nature is to deceive and ultimately make people believe his lies. Satan knows that if he gets you to believe his lies, you will become paralyzed!
This past week, I spoke over Elijah on my "God is bringing you out of the cave!" video and I want to quickly touch on one point as it relates to this prophetic word.
"So Jezebel sent this message to Elijah: “May the gods strike me and even kill me if by this time tomorrow I have not killed you just as you killed them.” 3 Elijah was afraid and fled for his life. He went to Beersheba, a town in Judah, and he left his servant there. 4 Then he went on alone into the wilderness, traveling all day. He sat down under a solitary broom tree and prayed that he might die. “I have had enough, Lord,” he said. “Take my life, for I am no better than my ancestors who have already died.” 1 Kings 19:2-4 NLT
Elijah, a mighty prophet of the Lord, making the rain stop for three and a half years and witnessing the miracle of the Lord responding by fire was now experiencing deep fear, agony, and discouragement. Elijah became paralyzed when he heard the evil and lying words of Jezebel—he ran away and wanted to die. So interesting to see that the voice Elijah paid attention to was the enemy's voice, not the Lord's.
The enemy's voice will always cause you to experience fear, doubt, anxiety, discouragement, and confusion with the purpose of paralyzing you. Being and feeling paralyzed is not of the Lord.
Elijah told the Lord, "I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too."
"But the Lord said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?” Elijah replied, “I have zealously served the Lord God Almighty. But the people of Israel have broken their covenant with you, torn down your altars, and killed every one of your prophets. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me, too.” 1 Kings 19:9-10 NLT
Notice that the lies of the enemy (Jezebel) made Elijah feel alone, even though there were 7,000 others who had not bowed to Baal. Also, notice how Elijah began to believe the lies! He believed that they were going to kill him. The Lord was not yet done with Elijah—death was not even in God's plan for Elijah!
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10:10 NKJV
Come against every single lie of the enemy that you have been replaying in your mind.
The lies...
That you will not succeed.
That you're not good enough.
That your Father doesn't love you.
That God is not with you.
That you're not forgiven.
That Jesus didn't die for you.
That you are lonely and rejected.
That you have no purpose.
That you will never prosper—shake them all off in the name of Jesus!
A few nights ago, as I was on my way back from church, I began to feel a strong urgency to declare and pray over the lives of many in this specific season. The Spirit took over with intercession and the Lord declared, "The cycle ends!"
I asked the Lord, "What cycle?" The Lord spoke again, "The cycle of testing." The cycle of sadness, fear, anxiety, doubt, worry, discouragement, etc. As I heard and declared these words, I experienced a wave of electricity through my body and I could feel the Presence of God in such a powerful way. In that moment, the atmosphere changed.
I'm here to remind you that the enemy will fight against you, but the enemy will not prevail against you! Just as the Lord told Jeremiah:
"They will fight against you, But they shall not prevail against you. For I am with you,” says the Lord, “to deliver you.” Jeremiah 1:19 NKJV
The enemy was invading your ears, mind, and heart with his lies, but the Lord has exposed satan's strategies. The enemy's lies have come up to the surface to be destroyed. I declare this word over your life that every lie of the enemy is exposed and destroyed in the name of Jesus. Your ears open so that you may discern between the voice of the Lord and the voice of the enemy. May your ears be silenced to the voice of the enemy and may your ears open to hear God's voice. I pray that you become sensitive to the voice of the Spirit of God. The enemy will fight against you, but the enemy will not prevail against you in the name of Jesus. Amen.
